SIBFU and LUT discuss collaboration plans

Lappeenranta University of Technology's delegation visited SibFU on 12 November 2013. The Finnish university is among SibFU's international strategic partners.

The representatives of the two countries discussed various problems of education in Russian and European universities and collaboration perspectives as a part of academic international collaboration.

In particular, the conversation was about the changes in the structure of doctoral programmes as a result of changes in Russian post graduate education. The universities also intend to collaborate on doctoral programmes in computer science and ICT. The two parts also agreed on a joint application to obtain research funding within the TEMPUS programme.
