Department of Russian as a Foreign Language invites students to undertake language internship at Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk, Russia)
We have been working with international students from all over the world and have developed an effective and interesting program for teaching Russian. One of the key teaching techniques is total language immersion. Your students will not only significantly improve their level of language proficiency, but will also plunge into Russian culture, take part in all kinds of cultural events and meet Russian students. Moreover, during the academic year, we organize excursions for our students around Krasnoyarsk and near the city. They will see the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, a typical Russian village, memorial house-museums of famous Russian writers and artists and many other unique places. These extracurricular activities are a great way for lecturers and students to interact in an informal setting. Many students who have already completed their internship at SibFU note that the lecturers have become their real friends.
Our lecturers are young and enthusiastic professionals with great commitment to their job. They all work with zeal to help their students succeed. One of the indicators of such progress is the successful passing of the “Russian as a Foreign Language” testing (levels from B1 to C2), which can be taken in our university. A significant number of interns successfully pass B1 and B2 level tests. In addition, all students get course completion certificates with a list of disciplines and surely they gain unforgettable experience and valuable knowledge after completing the internship program and exploring Siberia.
Our internship programs:
- Total academic year (1064 hours)
- One semester (532 hours) – for А1 – С2 levels
- Short-term program (6 weeks) for mastering А2 from scratch (120 hours).
Please note that tuition fee does not include additional costs:
- multiple-entry visa – 1600 roubles;
- dormitory accommodation – 1500 roubles per month;
- medical insurance – 4 000 roubles per year, 3 000 roubles per six months (the intern can buy the insurance on his own) .

The program may be customized for your personal needs. Intensive short-term course is also possible.
Even now, in pandemic times, Siberian Federal University is very flexible. Our program (including cultural) is online-adaptable.
The classes are online, the students are provided with electronic textbooks. This is a brilliant opportunity to develop listening and speaking skills! All papers are checked and corrected online and sent to the students with the tutor’s comments.
We have already experienced online training, and our students agree that it is as valuable and useful for them as the conventional one. So, we are ready to start teaching online in case it is necessary. In any case, when flights resume, students will be able to arrive and settle in at the SibFU’s dormitories.
Students are accommodated in on-campus modern dormitories. The rooms are equipped with all the necessary things to provide comfortable staying: an equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a fridge and a workplace. All the dorms are a 10-minute walk from academic buildings.
